Before we got here in Washington I already knew that there are many Filipinos that lives here and I got excited because I know I can find a Filipino store or restaurant that we can go to. True enough, when we looked for apartment we found a restaurant owned by Filipino couple just down the road from the apartment. There is also another store and restaurant near hubby's installation. Then one time a friend of mine asked us to go with them for dinner and she told me they are heading to a Filipino restaurant. I was thinking it's the one that we always go to but she said there is another one aside from it. I did not realize that the one she was talking about was the one we passed by all the time. The restaurant's name is Polynesian Grill but beside it is Pinay Hair Salon and also a store. The owner was Filipina and her husband is from Hawaii. They served both Polynesian and Filipino cuisine. Now we frequented the place and their store is bigger than the one near the post. Now I know where to get Filipino goodies and I also had my hair done at the salon. The hairstylist, Ate E, is very nice and she did a good job with my hair and eyebrows. I am thinking of going there again to have my hair colored. But I have to think more about it since my hair is still a virgin for hair color
