I have friends that like going to casino. As a matter of fact they are going at least twice a month during weekends. Two weekends ago one of them invited me to join them but I just don't have the luxury of time. I have my daughter to take care of. Lately my friend said that it's just tiring to go out since it's getting cold already. I told them they can have fun with online casino games instead. I tried playing online casino before. It's fun and convenient. There are so many games you can choose from and different online casinos to go with. But one thing to make sure is see to it you are playing at a very reliable gaming site. You can check out wiki casinos and know more about it before hopping to play. A dear friend of ours said they tried to play casino games like online roulette and they had fun.
I am not into gambling per se but I like to play for entertainment. So instead of changing to go out, I just hop on our computer and go to a reliable site and play. Even if you are wearing a house dress and in your sleepers you can still enjoy. It's like bringing Vegas to your home. But be mindful though to check out the most trusted site. Do not fall for those scamming site that will lure you to spend your money but you are not guaranteed of getting what is right for you when you win. So check out the site first before playing.
For many days now it's only today that me and our DD were able to do errands. The past days til now the weather is not cooperating. It has been raining from morning til night. Last week we were not feeling good. DD got sick and I was bringing her to the doctor. She is still taking antibiotic until the 2oth. I am just glad that it's not the dreaded flu that we got. I myself have a little colds and cough as well as my friends and their kids also not feeling good.
The doctor said that the virus is in the air. A lot of people are getting sick. This is why I don't like to go out. I don't want us to catch the flu and also the dreaded swine flu virus. Our DD will have another follow up check up on the 2nd of December. I will have appointment on the 19th with my nutritionist and hopefully I can get an appointment to see my provider for my cough and colds.
We have lots of nurses in our family. I, myself, will be pursuing a nursing degree so I can join the health care workforce. My cousins, nieces and friends who are now working as registered nurses are telling me how demanding the job can be. But along with its great responsibility also comes the fulfillment of helping and taking care of patients. I worked as a nursing assistant before and I had evening shift. I felt the stress of working long hours and honestly it is tiring. That is why it is very important for nurses to take care of themselves or it will take a toll on them. I am very glad to find Scrubs, an online magazine that focuses on guiding nurses on how to achieve good living. The site is very informative and its articles are helpful to nurses' daily life. You can find articles that tackle on news and entertainment, beauty, style, work, love, money, mind, and health issues of nurses. My favorite articles are those in fashion and beauty and health tips. They are showcasing summer scrubs fashion as of now. They reiterate that you can be fashionable too even if you are wearing scrubs all day long. For beauty tips, I find the article Wake Up Looking Younger very helpful. It emphasizes on taking care of oneself by being clean and gets more sleep to wake up refreshed and feeling younger the next day. I totally agree to these tips and would definitely apply it to myself everyday. So, if you want to check out more helpful information check out Scrubs now.
Point Defiance is one of the places that we frequented here in our area. We are 30-45 minutes away from it depending on the traffic. We like going there to just walk along the beach, along the park trail, and even go in the zoo and watch different animals. One fine Sunday, we went there and it was very hot. The weather was very nice that there were lots of people playing at the ground, basking under the sun and having picnics as well. We were walking around and our DD cannot contain herself from going back inside this hut with flower bearing plants around it. The flowers did not bloom yet when we went there and I am pretty sure once it does it will be so lovely to look at. When hubby gets back I will ask her to drive there again and see if the flowers are in bloom already.
It is amazing how God made wonders
I always knew that God will find a way for all of us who believes in him. The past months I got really concerned of not having any friends that I can talk to and go out with here in our place. I have lots of friends but they are all scattered all over the nation. But one day, we were at the park and I saw an old friend that I met at Walmart. We only spoke once but did not exchange numbers. When we saw each other again at the kids park, we exchanged numbers and she told me of another Filipina that she befriended with living in the same apartment complex where we live. It is just walking distance away. So she gave me her number and from then on we called each other. I have been to their apartment and I am looking forward to many gatherings and meetings we will have in the future. I am so thankful to God that He heard my prayers and He delivered a friend to me.
I am very excited that four more days and we will be on our way to Hawaii. I thought this travel will be put off because hubby has a very hectic schedule with his job. Thankfully his commander understand the need for him to be there and even if he will be cutting close with time we are still very hopeful everything will be okay. Honestly, even if I am very excited but still I haven't pack our things yet. I did the laundry already and made some cleaning here and there so when we leave our apartment is clean and we will not have any laundry left. This will be our DD's first commercial flight and I am excited to see how she will behave. Our tickets are good to go since April and we will just show up to the airport at the right time and sure there'll be no problem.
During the Memorial Day weekend we went to Seattle also to witness the last day of the Northwest Folklife Festival. We went their late but still we were able to see the different displays depicting folkloric festivities, food, fun and games. A lot of cultural presentation, dance and music were being shared by many people, artists and spectators alike. I wished we went there earlier so we can roam around and see each and every booth display. Since there were different type food that was offered there, we just bought one that we like and sat down along with other people near the water fountain. It was fun amidst the very hot weather. Below is a picture of a fun African music and dance performed by some of the artists that we saw there.
Wow, it's been a month since my last post in this blog. I have been busy not with updating my other blogs but with other things here at home and also I got hooked with the game Farm Town on Facebook. I am also busy with school and attending our toddler, thus the absence. Anyways, I am trying to make a regular update here so this will not be, somehow, neglected. What's new with us? Well, our daughter turned two and this means we are entering the terrible two stage. I also had my birthday, actually yesterday
I am not getting any younger, oh no! We did not make any grand celebration. We just celebrated it, the three of us. My classes are doing great. I will be finished this spring quarter and my last day of classes ends on June 9th and 13th, respectively. I will be relieved once those days comes. With my hubby, he has a very tight schedule as to traveling here and there. His schedule for vacation, out of state training, and deployment are so close together. We may have one vacation that we will not be able to go since their out of training was moved on the same date we will have the vacation. Hopefully everything will be clear soon.
I am so happy that at long last we are having days with 60s to 70s temperature. Last week and this week the forecast is said to be sunny and warm and I am loving it. This past weekend I was able to go out in short sleeves and capris. Our DD also was in her shorts and short sleeve shirt. We were playing at the ground in front of our unit. We played ball and she's chasing bubbles. I am hoping and wishing this warm, sunny days will continue so we can go out more often.
Last weekend we went to Pacific Science Center in Seattle. It was my first time inside there and we are glad that we only paid $11 for three of us. We only get the Exhibit only ticket because the ticket with feature 3D movie Monsters vs Aliens were all sold out. When we asked if there's a military discount the teller told us that the military service member is free and kids below 3 years old. So hubby only paid for my ticket which is a good deal. There are lots of exhibits inside and the theaters are also showing different 3D movies. The only thing I did not like is the small restaurant or shall I say a canteen inside that only offers few selection of food. You have to go out and walk to the Seattle Center House foodcourt to eat.
For the exhibits, I like watching the real reptiles, the butterfly sanctuary, different insects, planetarium, GPS Adventure while our DD loved the toddler play area

I know she is not that excited to see the different exhibits since she's don't understand them well. When she is older we can go back there and she can explore and discover.
Hubby and our DD posing near the entrance. Actually this looks like their shadow

I can't seem to get a good shot of their faces since the sun was blocking and there was no light in front of them. I should have let them turn around

Anyways, we had a great time that day and hopefully to go back there again when our DD gets older.
